Seeing as how you're reading this, you're probably a regular to Sword Forum Bugei and probably followed the same link you've been using since 2003. Glad to see you back! The forum is still alive but runs on updated software on a new server so there are a few things to cover.

First, you'll have to re-register. I'm sorry and I know it is sort of a pain, but it is just a few minutes. I tried to transfer the database, but the database and the server refuse to play fair so it is a fresh start for all of us. Yes, that means that the articles, posts and threads of the old forum are also missing for now. I am trying to see if I can get the server and database to play nice but I'm not optimistic.

The good news is that the newer version of the forum software (phpBB 3.0.4) is really quite nice from a technical perspective. It has streamlined a lot of old features and added a lot of new features. As time goes on, I'll be playing with modifications and enhancements to see what works best for our community. If things work well, let me know and I'll keep them. If things don't work well, let me know and I'll likely dump them.

The layout is essentially the way you remember it. Some shuffling (minor) and a few new tidbits but otherwise ... it'll all be the same territory. Like the technical stuff, what works stays and what doesn't goes. For the most part, I'll give plenty of warning and ask for input before I take action on these so please participate in the polls I post in the "Official Announcements -- Read This First" section.

Lastly, the rules are essentially the same as they were before but please read through them quickly just so any questions can be addressed fast.

By the way: This is not the forum's home page. Only those who regularly bypassed the original face page (with the forum rules on it) should be seeing this. This page exists merely to alleviate any confusion from following old links that depended on the old forum directory structure.
